Stephanie Thornbury is a corporate communications and community investment professional. Throughout her career she has worked in non-for-profit, PR consulting, healthcare and retail industries.  In 2004, Stephanie joined the Hudson’s Bay Company (HBC) as Director, Internal Communications and rose the ranks to become the Vice President, Communications, Community Investment, Heritage and Linguistics.

Stephanie Thornbury is responsible for the development and implementation of communication strategies and programs in support of the company’s business objectives.  As a public company, with distinct banners in both the US and Canada, she works closely with the senior leadership teams to help them articulate their communication strategies and engage their nearly 45,000 Associates and other key external stakeholders. Her responsibilities also include managing the company's three charitable foundations, the Corporate Social Responsibility report, overseeing the nearly 350 years of HBC’s artifacts and artwork collections and translating into eight languages.

Stephanie Thornbury holds a Certificate in Public Relations from Humber College and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature from the University of Western Ontario.  She is an accredited member of the International Association of Business Communicators and you and can find her on LinkedIn.
